Contender For the Who Needs A Man? Dildo of the Year: No
I love the Tantus products, because their silicone is such high quality, medical grade and their dildos are all handmade. When I was single, the Tantus Charmer was one of my favorite dildos. It wasn’t until I was getting ready to write this review that I realized it is also marketed to men as an “advanced” anal dildo because of it’s slimness and also because the 100% silcone makes it easy to boil and sanitize. While I can’t speak to that, I think it works well as a female dildo because the ridges provide stimulation inside the vaginal canal and can stimulate the g-spot. However, as my body changed, for some reason I no longer appreciated it’s ribbed profile, and so I switched to the Lelo Ella.
Why I Like it. I like this toy because it is slimmer than most. However, for some women they will not appreciate that about this toy. I tend to use dildo’s for solo play. And so for that I prefer a slimmer toy that does not take me too long to have my body warm up to. I also like the fact that the tip is tapered. Some women prefer to use the Charmer first to warm up and then a second larger toy after that. Or to purchase the Charmer as their starter dildo, because of it’s tapered head, and slim profile.
Like most of the Tantus line, the Charmer is harness and o-ring compatible. And due to it’s makeup it is also not totally rigid, there is some flexibly to it, which can also make things more comfortable. And as with all silicone toys, use a water-based lubricant with this toy.
I would recommend the Charmer dildo to anyone looking to expand upon their dildo collection with something slim, and easy to work with. The high quality, 100% medical silicone is not only easy to maintain, it will last and last without any of the odor associated with a cheaper, rubber-based toy.
